Original Cali Pack by Burning Rope Pharms.

The Story

Burning Rope Pharms grew out of LA’s San Fernando Valley, starting in backyards and barn-garages between 2012 and 2015 with nothing but OG Kush cuts and stubborn patience. They went legit in 2016, building dedicated small rooms with manual care, cold curing every batch, and running a strict no-PGR policy from day one. The brand name stuck because the early bags smelled like burnt rubber and fresh resin. Their rule is simple: “If it don’t slap your nostrils and curl your toes, it ain’t rope.”

Fruit Stand is what happens when two of California’s brightest fruit lines collide under that kind of care. The mother side is Gelonade, Connected Cannabis Co.’s cross of Lemon Tree and Gelato 41, a sativa that built its name on lemon-candy brightness and clean cerebral energy. The father side is Zangria, Wizard Trees’ cross of Zkittlez and Sangria, a fruity hybrid that carries deep berry sweetness and a bag of tropical terps. Put them together in a Burning Rope room, with the slow cure and the hand trimming, and the result is a straight tropical fruit explosion that hits hard on flavour without ever getting heavy in the body. The name says it all: open the jar and it smells like a stack of ripe fruit in the sun.

The Nose

Crack the seal and Tropical hits immediately, big and ripe, like walking past a mango cart on a hot day. Citrus sharpens behind it, bright and clean. Break the nugs apart and the Zangria side shows up: Candy sweetness, layered with Sweet and Fruity notes that keep unfolding. Underneath everything, Berry sits as a soft base note, rounding the whole profile out. Limonene is doing the heavy lifting up front, pushing that lemon zest citrus pop into the room. Caryophyllene adds a dry, peppery kick underneath that keeps the sweetness from going one-note. Myrcene brings the musky, herbal base that ties everything together. Dense, frosty nugs with a thick trichome coat and serious bag appeal.

The Smoke

The first pull is all tropical and citrus, coating the palate with bright fruit from the jump. Midway through, candy and sweetopen up as heat builds, and the Gelonade genetics start showing their hand. Fruity layers develop through the middle of the session, with berry rounding out longer draws. The Limonene concentrates near the end, sharpening the citrus on the last few pulls, while the Caryophyllene finishes it off with a peppery warmth on the lips. White ash, smooth burn, no harshness. The flavour stays clean all the way down.

The High

The onset is quick and bright. Euphoria arrives in the first couple of minutes, a genuine mood lift that feels like the sun just came out. Mood Uplift and Happy follow right behind, stacking together into a warm, positive headspace. Then Sociablekicks in and conversation starts flowing. The sativa lean is clear here: Energetic keeps you moving and engaged rather than locked down. Relaxation comes through in the body, just enough to smooth out any tension without pulling you toward the couch. The balance stays consistent through the whole ride. No crash, no fog, no sudden shift into drowsiness.
