The Story Behind Lemon by IYKYK

Lemon Up was originally bred by Grow West in Maryland, crossing two heavy hitters from opposite ends of the spectrum. On the sativa side, Lemon G brings old-school citrus firepower. Lemon G descends from G13 and Colombian Gold BX, and it’s been a staple in the Ohio and East Coast scene for years because of its bright, lemon-forward terpene expression. On the indica side, Dosidos 18 (OGKB x GSC Forum Cut) delivers cookie dough sweetness, body weight, and thick resin production. The cross produces something that smells like a lemon grove but hits like a hybrid with real structure.

IYKYK is a Bangkok-based collective that operates where underground craft meets premium packaging. Their version of Lemon pushes the THC ceiling higher than the original Grow West cut, landing anywhere from 18% up to 30% depending on the pheno. Consequently, this is Lemon Up with the volume turned up.

The Nose

Crack the pack and the lemon hits immediately, sharp and clean. Right behind it, a wave of citrus broadens the top note into something zesty and full. Then the mint appears, cool and herbal, cutting through the sweetness. As a result, the whole profile opens up. Floral and vanilla round things out at the base, soft and creamy. Limonene drives the entire nose, delivering citrus pop and lemon zest brightness that dominates from the first sniff. Dense, lime-green nugs with orange pistils and a visible trichome frost.

The Smoke

First pull opens with lemon and citrus, bright and clean on the inhale. Smooth smoke, no harshness. Midway through the joint, the mint and floral notes emerge as the Limonene builds in concentration. On the exhale, a vanilla sweetness lingers on the tongue. The burn stays white and even throughout, with the lemon intensifying near the resin ring. Overall, this is one of the cleanest-tasting citrus smokes you’ll find.

The High

The onset is quick and cerebral. Within minutes, a happy and uplifting wave lifts the mood and clears any morning fog. Shortly after, an energetic push rolls in, making you want to move, create, or get things done. By the fifteen-minute mark, the focused clarity sharpens, and this is where Lemon by IYKYK really shines for daytime use. Through it all, a gentle relaxed warmth sits underneath without dragging you down. The Dosidos genetics keep the body comfortable while the Lemon G sativa side runs the show upstairs. The high holds steady for well over an hour before fading gently.

Who Should Try Lemon by IYKYK?

At this potency, Lemon by IYKYK packs real power, but the low sleepiness and balanced high type make it a strong daytime choice. However, the medium anxiety risk means new smokers should start with a few pulls and wait. If you deal with stress, pain, or insomnia, the energetic onset and relaxed body make this a versatile option that works without putting you to sleep. Therefore, morning and afternoon sessions suit it best. In addition, seasoned heads will appreciate the Limonene-dominant terpene expression and the way the citrus carries from nose to ash.
