The name is a Star Wars pun, but the performance is no joke.

The Story Behind Revenge of the Zith by Up The Hill

Up The Hill is a Bangkok-based grower with roots in Southern California and a catalogue of 21-plus strains, most of them anchored in Z-family genetics. Their roster reads like a comic book universe: Znow White, Evil Zuperman, Under the Z, Red Coat, 101 Terpz. Each name carries a Z-family signature, and Revenge of the Zith is the entry that leans hardest into cinematic mythology. The “Z” swapped for the “S” in Revenge of the Sith is not just wordplay. It is a statement of lineage. The Zkittlez bloodline runs through this strain the same way it runs through most of the Up The Hill catalogue, a genetic foundation that defined the candy-forward, terpene-first wave of the 2020s.

What sets Revenge of the Zith by Up The Hill apart from the rest of the roster is the competition record. Up The Hill went undefeated in the Open Bracket at High Rollers cannabis competitions in Thailand, and this cut was part of that run. Competition winners have to perform across multiple batches and multiple judges. Consistency, terpene expression, visual appeal, effect quality: all of it gets scored. Going undefeated means the genetics are dialed in and the grow execution holds up under scrutiny. Furthermore, Up The Hill guards the exact parentage closely, which is standard practice for breeders protecting a phenotype at this level. However, the candy-citrus-tropical terpene profile and the euphoric, head-high effect orientation tell the story clearly enough. Zkittlez DNA is the foundation, and Up The Hill’s proprietary selection process is the refinement.

The Nose

Open the jar and Candy takes over the room, a loud, ripe confection sweetness that signals Z-family genetics before you break a single nug. Behind it, a deep Sweet base extends the candy into something fuller and more layered, the kind of aromatic density that comes from mature terpene development rather than anything artificial. Fruity brightness fills the middle register, adding sun-ripened depth that prevents the nose from reading as one-dimensional. Then Tropical arrives as the distinguishing character, a vivid, juicy note that tilts the whole profile away from pure dessert and toward something more alive. Citrus cuts across the top end, sharpening the arrangement with a zesty bite. Limonene is responsible for that citrus sharpness in the upper register, providing lemon-zest clarity that amplifies the tropical read and keeps the nose bright and immediate. Caryophyllene introduces a peppery, faintly spiced undercurrent that grounds the sweetness and prevents it from going flat. Myrcene anchors the base with a musky herbal foundation that ties the aromatic layers together. Linaloolsits quietly underneath everything, adding a floral, lavender softness that smooths the transitions between the candy top notes and the earthy base.

The Smoke

The flavour carries cleanly from jar to joint. Candy and tropical coat the palate on the first pull, rich and immediate, with the Limonene translating directly into a bright citrus hit on the inhale. As a result, the sweet base shows up on the exhale, giving the smoke a fuller body than the nose alone would suggest. Midway through the session, fruity warmth becomes more prominent as the Myrcene opens up, while the citrus edge sharpens and concentrates in the residual heat. The Caryophyllene builds toward the final third, pushing a subtle peppery warmth through the resin ring that adds complexity and distinguishes the finish from a straightforward candy smoke. The Linalool smooths the final pulls, keeping everything comfortable even as the terps concentrate. White ash, even burn, no harshness from start to roach.

The High

The onset is fast and the direction is unmistakably upward. Euphoria hits within the first minute or two, a genuine mood shift that pushes everything brighter without tipping into jittery territory. Happy arrives right alongside it, locking in a warm, buoyant headspace that makes conversation feel effortless and music sound better. From there, Focused takes hold, and this is the feature that separates Revenge of the Zith from a purely social strain. There is a sharpness to the mental clarity that suits task-based daytime use just as well as hanging out. Creative builds alongside that focus, opening up lateral thinking and idea generation without scattering attention or pulling you in too many directions at once. Limonene contributes directly to this entire upward sequence, a well-documented mood-brightening terpene that pairs naturally with a head-high orientation and supports the kind of energized clarity this strain delivers consistently.

Relaxation arrives last, settling lightly through the body without weight or sedation, just enough physical ease to release tension in the shoulders and keep the ride comfortable for the full duration. At this potency with low anxiety risk and low sleepiness, this is a strain that hits hard in the head while keeping the body functional and the mind sharp. The Linalool contributes to that smooth landing, rounding the physical effects into something comfortable rather than heavy. Consequently, the window stays productive and sociable from the first pull to the last.

Who Should Try Revenge of the Zith by Up The Hill?

At this potency with a 25-32% THC range, Revenge of the Zith by Up The Hill leans toward smokers who know their tolerance.
